What We Do

Animals.

  • Approximately 6 million animals enter shelters every year, and more than 2 million of those animals are killed.

  • There are an estimated 14,000 shelters and pet rescue groups in the United States, taking in nearly 8 million animals each year. The percentage of animals acquired from shelters and rescue groups is growing, and funding is what they often struggle with the most.

  • Our goal is to provide financial support through our various projects to animal rescues and shelters in Texas (or those that save animals located in Texas) that maintain ethical practices and share our mission in saving animal lives.

Mental Health.

  • Almost half of adults in the United States will experience a mental illness during their lifetime, and almost 43.8 million people will experience a mental illness in any one year.

  • In the United States, only 41% of people who have a mental health disorder received professional help or other services  in the past year.

  • Our goal is to increase accessibility to mental health services, promote further awareness and education, and above all reduce the mental health stigma that exists in our country.

Music.

  • Studies show that music training in childhood “fundamentally alters the nervous system” and that these changes “persist in adulthood” after training has ended.

  • In the 2019-2020 orchestra concert season, women composers accounted for only 8% of programmed works. Additionally, composers from underrepresented racial, ethnic, and cultural
heritages accounted for only 6% of programmed works.

  • Our goal is to aid in the promotion of music education through scholarships aimed at supporting compelling educators that inspire the next generation of youth in music. Additionally, we aim to promote underrepresented composers through the promotion and commissioning of new works by this group.
